RACHEAL OFORI

Racheal is a writer and actor. She has performed across television, theatre and film.

Racheal recently finished a run at the Donmar Warehouse as ‘Shanita’ in Dominique Morisseau’s play SKELETON CREW directed by Matthew Xia. She can currently be seen as ‘Liv’ in Michelle de Swarte's BBC comedy drama SPENT. Further television credits include TREADSTONE for Amazon, BIG AGE by Bolu Babalola and SLICED written by Phil Bowker and Samson Kayo. Her film work includes Jason Lei Howden's GUNS AKIMBO where she played opposite Daniel Radcliffe and Samara Weaving, as well as Eddie Sternberg's I USED TO BE FAMOUS and Jamie Childs’ JACKDAW for Netflix.

Further stage work includes THE SOUTHBURY CHILD at The Bridge Theatre written by Stephen Beresford. It was directed by Nicholas Hytner who also directed her in BACH AND SONS the previous year written by Nina Raine. Other theatre work includes: RARE EATH METTLE by Al Smith and directed by Hamish Pirie at The Royal Court Theatre, Inua Ellams adaptation of Chekov's THREE SISTERS at the National Theatre, and Mike Bartlett's SNOWFLAKE directed by Clare Lizzimore for the Old Fire Station in Oxford. Racheal was one of The Guardian’s ’12 Theatre Stars For 2020’ as well as one of Theatre Weekly’s 10 ‘Rising Stars of 2020’.

Racheal’s first solo show PORTRAIT was performed to a sell-out audience at the Edinburgh Fringe 2015 before heading off on a UK tour, finishing in London. In 2017 it set out on another UK Tour. Her second one woman show SO MANY REASONS played a UK Tour culminating at the Soho Theatre in 2020. The show received an Off West End Theatre Award for Best Female Performance. Racheal’s latest play FLIP! was nominated for a UK Theatre award, and played in Newcastle, Edinburgh, before finishing in London's Soho Theatre.
