MARK RYDER
Mark is a Northern Irish actor, writer and director based in London. He is most well known for playing the lead role of ‘Cesare’ in three seasons of Tom Fontana’s BORGIA for Canal Plus. Mark’s interest in acting flourished at The National Youth Theatre in 2007 and he broke into the business after being discovered by Oliver Hirschbiegel when he was cast as a young Liam Neeson in FIVE MINUTES OF HEAVEN.
Mark’s recent film credits include LOVE GETS A ROOM directed by Rodrigo Cortes, Robert Schwartzman’s THE ARGUMENT and SISTERS IN ARMS directed by Caroline Fourest. Further film credits include Ridley Scott’s ROBIN HOOD, Neil McCormick’s ALBATROSS and GOOD VIBRATIONS directed by Lisa Barros D’Sa.
Recent television credits include three seasons of Showtime’s CITY ON A HILL directed by Christophe Shrewe, LAW AND ORDER directed by Martha Mitchell as well as ABC’s MOTIVE directed by Andy Mikita. Further television credits include SMALL ISLAND for the BBC directed by John Alexander and COMING UP for Channel 4 directed by Matthew Lenton.
Behind the camera, Mark has written and directed a comedy series called TOAST which is available to view on YouTube, and has partnered with Tom Fontana to write a feature called TO KILL A QUEEN and adapt RED CARD, a book about the FIFA bribery scandal for television.
