Jan Bijvoet is a Belgian actor and musician. He trained at the Antwerp Studio Herman Teirlinck. His standout performances include THE BROKEN CIRCLE BREAKDOWN, which earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Foreign Language Film. BORGMAN, which competed for the Palme d'Or at Cannes, and EMBRACE OF THE SERPENT which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. In recent years, Bijvoet has appeared in PEAKY BLINDERS, SNABBA CASH and the feature WIL. Jan is fluent in English, Dutch, and French. Additionally, he has portrayed roles in Spanish, German, and Russian.
